Hello and Welcome!
The heart At Play is an organization that was founded by Teacher Ana, a SPED and dance specalist, who pioneered a Dance Movement Therapy (DMT) program that combines music, imaginative play and unique intervention tools that effect in holistic healing.
THP has been providing DMT services for free to the least, the last and the lost of family members with Autism and developmental disabilities in Metro Manila for three years now and in 2012 shared the program to Edison County, New Jersey, USA.
Our Program
The Program is all about giving solutions and interventions to the problem of incomplete integration of primitive reflexes which occurred in utero. This results to an underdeveloped brain which way manifest in the form od several developmental disabilities.
The Heart at Play has been applying its version of Dance Movement Therapy which is all about a combination of two or more fundamental patterns of movement and adding the elements of Dance and Imaginative Play. This hastens the progress of the participant. The benefits a participant may gain would be: an organized sensory sytem, diminished behavioral outbursts, improved coordination and sequencing defficulties and enhancement of cognitive and social skills.
What sets us apart:
● Our program has a therapist to participants ratio of 1:100+
● We encourage family support and participation.
●We are building a youth based volunteer network for awareness and for them to experience and better understand special needs persons.
●We would love to share our program with private and government organizations with the hopes of reaching a far greater number of the Worlds special needs population who can benefit from our unique approach.
